The right supervisor doesn’t just sign your hours — they help you think clearly under pressure, trust your clinical instincts, and stay well while you do hard work.

I supervise the way I practice: direct, warm, and grounded in real cases. You’ll get honest feedback, practical tools you can use in session the same week, and a supervisor who remembers exactly what this stage feels like.

What sets this apart

Supervision with substance

Supervision should shape the clinician you are becoming, not simply document the hours along the way.

EMDR-trained supervisor

Trauma work is the heart of my practice. You’ll learn to recognize trauma responses, pace treatment safely, and understand where EMDR fits — guidance most general supervisors can’t offer.

Neurodiversity-affirming lens

ADHD and autism show up in far more caseloads than candidates expect. I’ll help you recognize them, adapt your approach, and work from an affirming framework rather than a deficit model — including how assessment fits into care.

Private practice mentorship

I built Indigo Behavioral Health from the ground up. If you dream of your own practice, we can talk credentialing, insurance panels, setting fees, telehealth, and the parts of the business nobody teaches in grad school.

Hours that fit a working life

Most candidates are juggling a caseload, a commute, and a life. I offer evening and weekend supervision so you don’t have to choose between your hours and your clients.

In person or by telehealth

Meet at my Yukon office or by secure video from anywhere in Oklahoma. Rural candidates and clinicians outside the metro are welcome, and the format can change as your schedule does.

Breadth across the lifespan

Eight years of practice with children, adolescents, adults, and couples, using EMDR, CBT, play therapy, and family systems. Whatever your caseload looks like, you’ll have a supervisor who has worked with it.

Formats & fees

Choose the rhythm that fits you

Individual sessions go deep on your cases; group sessions add peer perspective and stretch your budget.

Small group

Group Supervision

$50
per person, per 90-minute session
  • Small groups so every candidate presents and gets feedback
  • Learn from cases you would never see on your own caseload
  • A built-in circle of peers for the candidate years and beyond
  • A cost-effective way to meet part of your supervision requirement

How the hours work in Oklahoma

Oklahoma LPC Candidates receive 45 minutes of supervision for every 20 hours of supervised experience, and up to half of those supervision hours may be in a group setting. Mixing individual and group sessions keeps the cost manageable while satisfying the Board’s requirements. We’ll map out a plan together during your first conversation.

Working together

From first call to full licensure

A clear process, so you always know where you stand.

1

A conversation about fit

We start with a free phone call. You’ll share where you are in the process, the population you work with, and what you want out of supervision. I’ll be honest about whether I’m the right fit.

2

Paperwork and a plan

We complete the supervision agreement and Board paperwork together, settle on individual, group, or a mix, and set a schedule that works around your caseload — including evenings and weekends.

3

Steady, useful supervision

Weekly sessions built around your real cases: conceptualization, interventions, documentation, ethics, and your own wellbeing. Required observations and six-month evaluations are handled on time, without surprises.

4

Licensure, and what comes next

As your hours near completion, we shift toward exam readiness, your professional identity, and the next chapter — whether that’s agency work, a group practice, or hanging your own shingle.

Dawn Gibson, MEd, LPC

I’m an Oklahoma Board-approved LPC Supervisor and the owner of Indigo Behavioral Health in Yukon. For eight years I’ve worked with children, adolescents, adults, and couples, with a focus on trauma, PTSD and CPTSD, ADHD, and autism, using EMDR and CBT as my primary approaches.

I became a supervisor because I remember how much the right guidance mattered in my own candidate years — and how rare it was to find someone who would be both honest and kind. That’s what I aim to be for the counselors I supervise.

Let’s talk about your next chapter.
